The process of dental treatment during sleep (sedation) is a safe and controlled procedure that allows a child to fall asleep and not feel pain during dental treatment. In our clinic, we use only certified medications approved for use in pediatric dentistry.
1. Preparation: Before the procedure, an anesthesiologist is consulted, who evaluates the child’s health and selects the optimal type of sedation. Parents receive detailed instructions on how to prepare for the procedure.
2. Sedation: The child is injected with a drug that causes drowsiness and relaxation. Depending on age and health status, inhalation or intravenous sedation is used. During the procedure, the anesthesiologist constantly monitors the vital signs of the child: pulse, breathing, blood pressure.
3. Treatment: After the child has fallen asleep, the dentist performs the necessary treatment: caries removal, filling, tooth extraction, etc. During this time, the anesthesiologist continues to monitor the patient’s condition.
